5-Day Islamic Psychology Workshop Held In Bengaluru

🕌 Bengaluru Hosts Groundbreaking TIIP Workshop for Muslim Mental Health Professionals
From August 31 to September 4, 2024, Bengaluru became the center of a pivotal initiative in Islamic psychology, welcoming renowned Islamic psychologist Yaqeen Sikander for a five-day immersive program on Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP). The event was spearheaded by Mind and Brain Hospital, in collaboration with Khalil Center, and supported by the Centre for Study and Research (CSR India) and International Students of Islamic Psychology (ISIP).
TIIP is a therapeutic model that blends modern psychological principles with Islamic teachings, offering a culturally and spiritually attuned approach to mental health care for Muslim communities. Originally introduced in 2013 by Dr. Hooman Keshavarzi and Dr. Amber Haque, the framework has evolved through the contributions of Khalil Center’s expert team, including Dr. Fahad Khan and Dr. Khalid Elzamzamy. Recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA), TIIP is grounded in evidence-based practice and continues to grow through rigorous academic and clinical research.
This Bengaluru event marked a significant step in expanding access to TIIP in India, equipping local professionals with tools to integrate faith and psychology in meaningful, ethical ways.
