Dr. Prakash Konnur is a psychiatrist with extensive experience in the field. He earned his MBBS from Karnataka University, Dharwad , and a DPM (Diploma in Psychological Medicine) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay.
Dr. Konnur has had a broad and international career. He worked as a Specialist Psychiatrist for government service at Butabika hospital, Kampala, Uganda, for the Uganda ministry of health. He was also at Mathari hospital, Nairobi, Kenya, for the Kenya min. of health. Additionally, he worked at the Southern provincial Psychiatric hospital, Gizan, Soudi Arabia, for the Government of Soudi Arabia.
His private practice includes work as a Specialist Psychiatrist at Ashwini Hospital, Near Mooru savirmath, Hubli. More recently, he has been in private practice at Sankalp nursing home, Tilakwadi, Belgaum, and at Mysore road hitec Hospital, Bangalore.
For private employment, he served as a Specialist Psychiatrist at Wanless Hospital, Miraj, Maharashtra , and at St. Ignatius Hospital, Honnavar, Karnataka. He was also a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Karnataka Institute of Diabetology, Bengaluru.

Dr. Konnur has received significant professional recognition, including the Fellowship of the Indian Association of Private Psychiatry. He is the founder vice president of the North Karnataka Guild of Psychiatrists and was the joint organizing secretary for the South zone conference of the Indian psychiatric society. He was felicitated as a Senior Psychiatrist by the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Psychiatric Society at Dharwad. He also received the Dr. S S Jayaram award of the IPS Karnataka branch for creating mass awareness through media and was felicitated by Torrent Laboratories, Ahmedabad, for his outstanding contribution to psychiatry.
